Spring is here, and with it, an inspirational list of Tribù Must Dos for 2019—Australia, South Africa, Chile and many points in between. Embark on travel to new places in 2019!

Zimbabwe—Two new ways experience Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe has long been a destination famed by Victoria Falls, but also for superb wildlife viewing and exhilarating safari experiences. This year, our must-dos include two new ways to experience Zimbabwe: from the Mpala Jena Camp and Greater Mana Expedition, both new camps from Great Plains Conservation. Located in the Zambezi National Park, upstream from Victoria Falls, Mpala Jena is an integrated experience inclusive of accommodation, wildlife viewing activities, meals and pristine tented abodes. Greater Mana Expedition, based in Mana Pools National Park and the neighboring private Sapi Concession, focuses on a closer connection to nature through walking, canoeing and traditional game drive safaris as well.

Botswana—New excursions and ‘Fly Me Around’ Specials
Head to Botswana’s &Beyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge: a cool and contemporary cocoon inspired by its exquisite natural setting; a private corner of the Okavango Delta. We love this camp for its location adjacent to the Moremi Game Reserve, cutting edge design and uninterrupted wildlife viewing. Tribù Africa specialists can custom design a Botswana itinerary for you to include a stay for seven nights at any combination of &Beyond camps which includes complimentary internal air travel within Botswana.

South Africa—Food, Art and Culture in Durban and Mthembu Lodge
A complement to often-visited Johannesburg and Cape Town, Durban is a rising destination in South Africa that offers visitors a glimpse into the local food, art and culture of this east coast city. A thriving beach town, Durban boasts a vibrant downtown with foodie destinations and waterfront activities from kayaking to paddle-boarding and more. Visitors can wander the streets from café to café across the Florida Road area and Creative District, in full with shops and artisan craftsmen making food, jewelry and local wares. Don’t miss Durban’s Zulu-style BBQ, bakeries, live music and fine dining—Durban is a destination not to be missed.
An easy three hours’ drive north of Durban, Mthembu Lodge is built on the banks of the White Mfolozi River and offers scenic views across the river and the surrounding bushveld. The reserve includes land that was once the royal hunting grounds of King Shaka and guests are able to learn more about the local history, including being able to see the spring where King Shaka appointed his first chief. Private villas at the lodge are spacious and inviting, providing a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the surrounding nature.

Chile—Set Off On A Patagonia Jeep Safari
Experience Patagonia, Chile, by Jeep in a 7-day, 9-day or 11-day excursion. Tribù offers a number of Overland Safaris, with itineraries through Chilean and Argentinean Southern Patagonia. Self-Drive or Guided Safari options are available with a full menu of excursions to choose from throughout both Torres del Paine National Park and Los Glaciares National Park with points in between from the Fjord of Last Hope in Chile to Perito Moreno Glacier.

Ecuador—Our Newest Love: Carlota
Located in the heart of Quito’s historic district, Carlota is a renovated turn-of-the century building just a few blocks’ walk from the area’s destinations and heritage sites. Among Tribù’s new must-dos in 2019, this bright, urban hospitality concept offers a new home base for experiencing Ecuador’s culture, arts and modern lifestyle. We love the inviting and appealing atmosphere, impeccable service and cuisine and close proximity to highlights across the area.

Madagascar—A unique and diverse way to see Madagascar
Journey to Madagascar in 2019—the Tribù way. Our featured itinerary is a two-week excursion through Adnasibe National Park, Antisirabe, Fianarantsoa and Isalo National Park, finishing with two nights at the Anakao Ocean Lodge in Anakao, Nosy Ve. Night walks, village visits and plenty of lemur sightings are among the trip’s highlights, while the final days in Madagascar take travelers to the village of Anakao—a small seaside town known for its proximity to beaches and crystal clear water, ideal for snorkeling and Scuba enthusiasts.
